Anthem Church Internship Program

The Anthem Church Internship program develops and empowers individuals in their ministry and leadership potential. For those seeking to strengthen their faith through intentional discipleship, this program offers opportunities to cultivate Christian leaders filled with life and hope, focused on city transformation. If you desire a deeper relationship with God and clarity in your purpose, consider the Anthem Internship, which provides a structured volunteer experience.

INTERNSHIP STREAMS

Academic Internship

Under Anthem College program delivered by Planetshakers. Every year that you study there is a Supervised Ministry component which can give you a credential, from Sydney College of Divinity. A part of the practical Ministry component is our Intern Program.

Non-Academic Internship

You can also volunteer your time for the Internship and receive practical leadership training.

INTERNSHIP DETAILS

In 2025, we will offer internships in Kids Ministry and Youth Ministry, focusing on empowering you to unleash your God-given creativity for exciting, transformative programs. These programs will help engage the Next Generation and strengthen their faith. You will learn Leadership skills and influence students for Jesus while experiencing our vibrant community and growing in your spiritual gifts. Senior mentors will guide your discipleship, aiding you to identify your strengths and develop weaknesses. Alongside pastors and leaders, you'll engage with our leadership community, experiencing real change as you're stretched and taught by the Holy Spirit. Our approach includes training, practice, and the opportunity to produce what God has placed within you in your chosen ministry area.

Interns in Youth and Kids Ministry will learn planning, administration, coordination, material writing, and creative activities. You'll hear God's voice, pray for the sick, and explore revelatory gifts. Interns will attend ACC Regional Pastors and Leaders meetings and volunteer at the ACC State Conference on the Sunshine Coast from October 13-16, 2025. You'll also attend the ACC Emerging Leaders Conference from July 9-11, 2025 at Mt Tambourine.

INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Youth Ministry Stream

· Attend 8:30am, 10:30am, or 5pm services weekly to connect with youth and families.

· Attend Friday Night Youth 6-10pm.

· Help with the planning, development and orchestration of these Friday nights.

· Learn to use the Planning Center database and tools for effective Youth Ministry administration.

· Learn to use the required sound and multi-media applications needed for all nights.

· Be on the clean-up, pack up, and lock up roster with other leaders.

· Attend Intern planning and support meetings on Tuesdays, along with worship and leadership meetings.

· Meet with the Youth leaders and team weekly.

· Meet with your mentor fortnightly.

· Participate in all Regional ACC Leadership events for Youth and pastors and leaders.

· Attend Emerging Leaders Conference

· Attend ACC Qld/NT State Conference as a volunteer.

Kids Ministry Stream

· Attend Kids Church on Sundays from 8am -1pm each Sunday.

· Learn to plan, develop and orchestrate Kids Ministry programs for both 3-5’s and 6-12’s.

· Learn the Check-in Process and administrative skills like Planning Center for Kids Ministry.

· Learn to use the sound and multimedia applications for the rooms and Kids programs.
